Our Story
In November of 1997, I Am Somebody Ministries became a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Since then, they searched for a facility for their first program. Pastor Nathaniel Banks, along with church members and community leasers, had a vision to “deliver people from the slavery of their addictions.”

In August of 2006, the vision of Pastor Banks started to come to life when the City of Cincinnati donated the house on Brewster Avenue to I Am Somebody Ministries. The house was in very rough condition and required extensive renovations.

Over 90% of the work to the house was provided by and funded from local vendors. Over 5,000 hours of volunteer efforts went into the renovation. The house is now an 11-room house with 4 bathrooms and a full basement.

The home on Brewster Avenue is currently known as The Swan House, housing the first program of I Am Somebody Ministries.

I Am Somebody Ministries is entering an exciting new phase of growth and development. Follow us on Facebook to stay updated on the changes!
